Allied Health : FAQs

How long has Pulse Staffing been in business?
20 years. Pulse Staffing has been servicing the needs of nurses and allied health professionals and the clients we serve across Texas since 1988.

Offices:
Two. We have an office at 5353 West Alabama Street, Suite 420, Houston Texas – right in the Galleria district. We also have another office at 2615 Calder Street, Suite 420, Beaumont, Texas.

Are you a mom and pop agency that only has contracts with one or two facilities?
No. We are a quality-oriented professional agency with two fully staffed offices. We have dozens and dozens of contracts. We offer more jobs at more locations than almost any agency across Southeast Texas.

We also offer 24-hour live customer service for our clients and employees. If you call our office after normal business hours when other staffing agencies close and route all their calls to an answering service, we have full-time staff that answer the calls and solve your problems during your call.

Are you like the large national agencies that simply hire as many staff as you can to fill job orders and are not available to meet with me and address my personal needs that other applicants may not have?
No. We have one of the largest client bases of any staffing agency in Southeast Texas and we staff more nurses and allied health professionals at our client sites than almost any agency in Texas, but we value highly the comfort and satisfaction of our employees. We spend whatever time is necessary to meet with our employees to make sure we understand their needs and sensitivities so our employees and our staff can make sure the employee will be happy and satisfied with his/her job wherever they work.

How much do you pay allied health professionals?
Our pay rates are among the highest in the industry here in Southeast Texas. Pay rates vary by client and location, but pay rates go as high as $55 per hour depending upon the shift and location you work.

If I work for your agency, do I have to work a specific shift or can I choose from various shifts and locations?
You decide how much or how little you work. You can work full-time at one of our client sites five days a week or even six days a week. You also can decide to work just part-time, working one, two, three, or four shifts a week. The choice is yours. We are flexible to meet your needs.

Do you have jobs just in the city? I hate driving to Houston. I live 45 minutes outside of Houston and I prefer working outside the city.
We have job opportunities in the city, but also in many towns and cities outside Houston right where many of our staff like you live. We do this so our employees can earn more money, but they work closer to home.

I am a PT, but I also have friends who are RTs and OTs and they are looking to earn more money and to have a more consistent work schedule than they have now with the agency they are working for now. Do you have opportunities for PTs, OTs, and RTs?
Yes. We frequently have dozens of job openings for PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, RTs, SLPs, and other allied health professionals across the entire Southeast Texas region. Most agencies are small and work with one, two, or three client sites. We work with dozens and dozens of client sites across the entire Southeast Texas region. We offer more jobs and more opportunities than most other agencies across the region and not just for PTs. We have several opportunities for PTAs, OTs, COTAs, RTs, SLPs, etc.

Do you have a referral program?
Yes. Speak with one of our recruiters and they will explain how the referral program works.
